Peaceful Home Euthanasia — Gentle Goodbyes & End‑of‑Life Support

A Gentle, Two‑Step Process

The procedure is designed to be entirely stress-free. First, a calming sedative is administered through a tiny needle, allowing your pet to fall into a deep, natural sleep within minutes at your side. Once they are fully relaxed and aware only of your comforting presence, the final injection is given, allowing them to pass away quietly and with dignity in the peace of their own home.

Home Euthanasia FAQs

Where in my home will the visit take place?

We encourage you to choose wherever your pet feels most at ease—whether it’s their favourite bed, a spot on the sofa, or even outside in the garden. Our priority is creating a calm, familiar environment for your final goodbye.

What is the ‘two-step’ process?

We begin with a gentle sedative to help your pet drift into a deep, peaceful sleep. Once they are completely relaxed, the final injection is then calmly administered, ensuring a painless transition.

Can our other pets be in the room?

Yes, we often find that having other pets present helps them understand the loss. They are welcome to stay in the room or visit immediately afterwards to say their own farewell, which can prevent them from searching for their companion later.

Will I have time to sit with my pet afterwards?

Of course. We never rush these moments. You are welcome to take as much time as you need to sit with your pet after they have passed before any further arrangements or transport are discussed.

How do we arrange for cremation?

We can coordinate respectful transport for either individual or communal cremation. We handle all the necessary details and paperwork for the crematorium, allowing you to focus entirely on your family and your pet’s memory.
